Height Verification is important for a breed that is defined by a height restriction and is a requirement for registration approval.

A pony’s height must be verified at several key points in their lifetime
     * At time of application for registration (for adult Pony applications)
 * By the age of 3 years old if foal recorded
 * Between the age of 6 and 7 years

A height verification must be supplied within 3 months of reaching the above ages (registration may be suspended until verification has been completed, failure to supply a height verification may result in a registration being revoked)

There are several methods of height verification acceptable to the Society
 - Vet Certificate of height measured on a hard level surface with a measuring stick designed for the purpose. The Vet must
complete the relevant form at the time of height verification for submission to the Society.
 - Height and Gelding Inspectors assigned by the Society may provide a Height Verification service either at an event or
private property utilising a measuring stick designed for the purpose. The Inspector will complete a Height Verification Card
for the owner’s record and will log the result of the check with the Society directly.
 - Height recorded at an official measuring day conducted by EA or Show Horse Council or at an Ag Show by an official
appointed by the show society to conduct a height measurement. Must supply proof of recorded height signed by
       the official.
 - Under specific circumstances, a Remote Height Check may be conducted by prior arrangement with an Inspector which
       will require committee approval.

Failure to submit height verification by one of the approved methods at the ages of 3 years and between 6 to 7 years or at the request of the Registrar may result in deregistration of the Pony in question following a review by the Committee.

Reminder notices will be issued prior to action being taken and applications for extensions must be made in writing if required.

Category cut-off heights are as per the Register requirements.
Fractional heights above a cut-off are not acceptable eg. 14.2 ½ would be considered “Over Height”.
